My 8yr old twin daughters Isabelle & Alana ‘launched’ a choose your own adventure story book. They wrote most of it themselves (with a few chapters completed by slightly bigger people to keep the magic of the story for them to enjoy too).

  🐲🐲🐲🐲🐲🐲🐲🐲🐲🔅  9/10 My daughters received a signed copy of this book via Toppsta.com along with a copy of the first book in the Cursebreaker series. After reading and thoroughly enjoying the first book,  A Curse So Dark and Lonely , I was really looking forward to reading this book and intrigued as to how Brigid Kemmerer would continue the story. After an initially slow start, mainly due to the introduction of some new characters and the new kingdom of Syhl Shallow, it soon recreates the fantastic storytelling of the first book. The stakes are different and the characters adapt greatly due to various circumstances throughout the book, at times you want to hate some that you previously admired and vice versa. I would definitely recommend this book for children and adult alike.

D&D Dungeon Academy: Tourney of Terror! (contains spoilers for book 1)

  🐲🐲🐲🐲🐲🐲🐲🐲🐲🔅   9/10 As a fan of the Forgotten Realms book series, when I saw the first book in this series, D&D Dungeon Academy: No Humans Allowed! , I thought that it could be a good starting place to encourage my daughters' recent enjoyment of the D&D: Honour Among Thieves movie. This book is a direct sequel, again written by Madeleine Roux and illustrated by Tim Probert, and set in a school for monsters in the world of Faerun. Following the creation of the Danger Club in the first book, the main character Zellidora "Zelli" Stormclash (a human disguised as a minotaur) is now helped by her adventuring party which include a vegetarian owlbear, a mimic, a kobold and a blink dog. With the evil necromancer Lord Carrion, defeated in the first book, locked away in the school, Zelli's nightmares ensure that they meet once again leading to a fight for the survival of not only the school, but all of Faerun. D&D Dungeon Club: Roll Call

  🐲🐲🐲🐲🐲🐲🐲🐲🐲🔅   9/10 As a fan of the Forgotten Realms book series and with my daughters enjoying the D&D: Honour Among Thieves movie, I bought this graphic novel to try to encourage this interest. My daughters both read the whole book in one sitting, really enjoying the roleplaying aspect of the real-life counterparts playing as their characters. The story is set in high school and talks about issues often found within that setting such as friendships breaking down, bullying and feeling alone or different to everyone else. However, it uses Dungeons & Dragons as a way to build and improve relationships and a way to escape the real world problems that the characters have, with everyone welcome to join the Dungeon Club on their adventures.  The illustrations within this book are amazing and really enhance the story, with Molly Knox Ostertag and Xanthe Bouma making a great team.
